The Rondane Quartet is made up of the pianists Robert Lambermont, Laura Sandee, Petra van Oort and Daphne Keune. This quartet specializes in the music of Simeon ten Holt and has maintained a close relationship with the composer for years. They regularly give perfomances of his lengthy compositions for four grand pianos: Canto Ostinato (1979), Lemniscaat (1983), Horizon (1985), Incantatie IV (1990) and Meandres (1998).
cd releases
In September 2010 the Rondane Quartet launched their first double CD of Canto Ostinato which was sponsored by Simeon ten Holt personally. Later it was followed by the release of CD albums of Horizon, Lemniscaat, Incantatie IV and Meandres. All albums received favourable press reviews. The Rondane Quartet also plays a part in the documentary film ‘Over Canto’ (‘About Canto’) by producer Ramón Gieling, which had its world première at IDFA in November 2011.

Over the years the members of Rondane Quartet were invited by Simeon ten Holt personally to perform his music on a number of occasions. More recently they played in the Amstelkerk in Amsterdam, the Moscow International Performing Arts Center, the SOU Festival in Tbilisi, Georgia and the Festival of Vlaanderen in Belgium.
